The Centre for Commercial Law Studies of Queen Mary University of London runs programmes, including a LLM, in Computer and Communications Law by distance learning. For the autumn term of 2016/2017 Dr Alan Littler will convene a course on the Regulation of Cross-Border Online Gambling. Individual courses from the programme can be taken on an ad hoc basis.

WOGLR: Amsterdam Court of Appeal deems poker game of chance

A recent decision by the Court of Appeal of Amsterdam has overturned a January 2014 District Court ruling, finding that poker is a game chance under the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act 1964. This seems somewhat controversial, particularly given previous case law on the matter.
