The Dutch Gaming Authority and Recent Developments in the Netherlands

The Dutch Senate approved a legislative proposal on December 20, 2011, introducing a new independent regulatory body, namely the Gaming Authority. It has been operational since April 1, 2012, with the proviso of more effectively enforcing the Dutch Betting and Gaming Act.
